Hyderabad, Mar 3 : The Telangana Cabinet Sub-Committee, which was constituted for Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19), held a review meeting at Dr MCR HRD Institute here on Tuesday. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao, Health Minister Etela Rajender, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and among other officials have participated in the meeting. During the review meeting, the Ministers said that the state government has taken up all precautions to control the deadly Novel Coronavirus.
Isolated wards consisting of 40 beds each were set up in Gandhi and Fever hospitals besides 100 bedded ward in Military hospital, they said. Stating that stern action will be taken against those for spreading rumours on deaths due to Coronavirus, the Ministers clarified that no one died due to Coronavirus in India so far. The Cabinet Sub-Committee asked the officials, apart from setting up of a 24x7 helpline, to also create widespread awareness among the people on the Coronavirus through print, electronic and social media.
