Hyderabad, Feb 2: Former Minister (undivided Andhra Pradesh) Kommareddy Surender Reddy and former Member of Parliament and freedom fighter M Narayana Reddy passed away on Sunday.
Surender Reddy died at his daughter's house situated at Madhapur. He had worked as Forest Minister in the then Chief Minister NT Rama Rao’s Cabinet, while Narayana Reddy died at a private hospital in Nizamabad while undergoing treatment for illness. He had won Nizamabad MP seat as an independent candidate in 1967-71.
In a separate messages, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed deep condolences on the demise of former Minister Kommareddy Surender Reddy and former Member of Parliament M Narayana Reddy. He also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family members. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has issued instructions to the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to arrange State funeral with official honors’ to former Minister Surender Reddy and former Member of Parliament and freedom fighter Narayana Reddy. The Chief Minister asked Chief Secretary to issue instructions accordingly to the Collector of Medchal and Nizamabad Districts respectively. (UNI)
