Priyanka Reddy murder: Locals, students hit street

Demanding justice to Dr. Priyanka Reddy, local youths and students in Hyderabad have hit the streets of the capital of Teleangana on Monday. In several places of Telangana, people across the political parties engaged in marches and protests expressing anger and shock over the brutal rape and murder of the veterinary doctor.

The protesters raised many demands including the laxity on the part of local police, trial the case in a fast-track court. On Sunday, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao has instructed the officials to put the brutal rape-murder case of a veterinary doctor on a fast track and give stringent punishment to the culprits. The Chief Minister also decided to set up a fast track court to deal with the case.

Telugu super star Mahesh Babu expressed his anger and shock on Twitter: "My heartfelt condolences to the families of the girls. Your pain is irreversible! Let's come together to give justice to all the women and young girls of our country... Let's make India safe!!"
