Young female veterinary doctor burnt to death in Telangana: Sources

In a shocking incident, the body of a 26-year-old veterinary doctor, who went missing from the Wednesday night, was found in a badly burnt condition.

Sources said that the body was that of Priyanka Reddy who is a veterinary doctor in veterinary hospital in Kolluru village. Priyanaka Reddy is said to have found missing while on her way from her house in Telangana's Shadnagar to the hospital. Sources said that she stuck in in Shamshabad after her two-wheeler reportedly met with a puncture. Her body was found in Shadnagar, about 30 kilometres away, below an underbridge.

Priyanka Reddy had last spoken to her sister Bhavya at around 9:15 pm. Police found that the recorded phone call audio suggests someone had offered help to repair the tyre.

Bhavya says she had advised her sister to go to the nearest toll gate. But she did not do that as Priyanka she was scared of toll gate area for the presence of unknown men and several parked trucks.

Later, her mobile connection was cut off and she went missing. After more than 12 hours of nightmare, her body was found in badly burnt condition. Police got information about a burnt body of a woman by 7.30 am on Thursday. Police suspect that she was doused with kerosene and got burnt. Her family members identified the body with the help of a locket that she was wearing. Body has been given to the family after post-mortem.

The police has formed 10 teams to track down those who may have trapped and killed Priyanka. Her vehicle is untraceable.
