Hyderabad, Nov 19 : The indefinite strike by more than 48,000 employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) entered the 46th day on Tuesday even as no respite is in sight for the deepening woes of lakhs of people.
Leaders of the Joint Action Committee (JAC), which is leading the strike met at a function hall in Dilkushnagar here to discuss the future course of action in the light of hectic speculation that the TSRTC employees were ready to resume work.
The counsel for the striking employees too informed the High Court in this regard during hearing on the petitions over the strike on Monday.
Stating that it cannot declare the strike as illegal, the Court had referred the strike to the labour court for solution.
The JAC cancelled the "Sadak Bandh" protest scheduled for Tuesday.
BJP MP B.Sanjay said that the ongoing strike would be raised on the floor of Lok Sabha adding that the Speaker's permission was being sought for it. (UNI)
