Hyderabad, Oct 24: The ordeal of thousands of commuters, including students and office goers continued as the indefinite strike by the employees of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) entered the 20th day on Thursday.
The striking employees demanding the merger of the Corporation with the government intensified their stir by taking out rallies, staging dharnas near depots and other forms of protests pressing their demands including pay scale revision.
With both the government and the striking employees sticking to their guns, there are no signs of an early end to the crisis and the commuters' woes. While the government maintained that there was no question of merger of the corporation with the government, the striking employees say they will not budge on their merger demand.
Meanwhile, the high level committee comprising top officials set up by the government to examine the 21 demands of the agitating employees excluding the demand for the merger of the corporation with the government is expected to submit its report in a day or two, according to sources. (UNI)
