Hyderabad, Sep 8 : The maiden meeting of the expanded Telangana cabinet led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, which held here at Pragathi Bhavan, the camp office of CM on Sunday night, approved the Budget for the financial year 2019-20.
The two and a half hours cabinet meeting also discussed on the strategy to be adopted during the budget session of the state assembly commencing from Monday. Mr Rao will present the full-fledged budget for the current financial year in the legislative assembly while the newly inducted Minister for Finance Harish Rao will present the budget in the legislative council on the first-day of the forthcoming session.
The Government had introduced Vote-on-Account budget in February last in the run-up to the Lok Sabha election and sought approval for expenditure for six months. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao himself presented the Rs 1.82-lakh crore budget with revenue expenditure estimated at Rs 1.31 lakh crore and capital expenditure at Rs 32,815 crore. UNI
