Hyderabad, Sep 8 : The Telangana Assembly’s budget session will begin from Monday.
The state government would present its full-fledged budget during the session for the current financial year apart from introducing the new revenue bill and also the amended Municipal Act.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is expected to present the full-fledged budget for the current financial year on the first day of the forthcoming session.
The Government had introduced Vote-on-Account budget in February last in the run-up to the Lok Sabha election and sought approval for expenditure for six months.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao himself presented the ₹1.82-lakh crore budget with revenue expenditure estimated at ₹1.31 lakh crore and capital expenditure at ₹32,815 crore.
However, the maiden meeting of the expanded Telangana cabinet which began being chaired by Mr Rao at Pragathi Bhavan,the camp office of CM, on Sunday evening , will approve the state budget and the government strategy to be adopted during the budget session of the state Assembly commencing from tomorrow.(UNI)
