Hyderabad, Aug 18: BJP Working President JP Nadda arrived here on Sunday to hold talks with state party leaders in a bid to strengthen the party in Telangana.
He was accorded a grand welcome on arrival at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad by a large number of the party leaders and cadre. Mr Nadda will attend the meeting as chief guest of the meeting of BJP state office bearers at the state party office. He will ascertain from the party leaders about the response to the BJP's membership drive in the state.
The BJP chief will address a public meeting at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally area of the city at 4pm. Reports said that several leaders from other parties including former legislators are set to join the BJP in the presence of Mr Nadda.
Bouyed by its good showing in the recent Lok Sabha elections bagging four of the 12 seats in the state, the BJP was leaving no stone unturned to build up the party in the state. (UNI)
