Hyderabad, Jul 7: Aiming to wrest power in Telangana in 2023, BJP National President and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Telangana once in every month, Party Telangana Unit President Dr Laxman said on Sunday.
Talking to newsmen at party state headquarters here, Dr Laxman said apart the visit of Mr Shah, two Union Ministers would also visit the state every month and review on how to take the Central Schemes to the people and explain the schemes which were being implemented by the Centre.
This was disclosed during the state party core committee meeting held on Saturday evening by Mr Amit Shah who visited here in connection with the launch of party membership drive, the BJP Senior leader said.
Dr Laxman said,”Party Chief has given clear cut target to achieve power in Telangana in 2023 by throwing out the corrupt and family rule TRS party”.
He said that Mr Shah has also given target to the party leaders to achieve 50 per cent vote share and mission 60 plus. At present the party has 20 per cent vote share and hoped to achieve 50 per cent vote share because we have ample time to take the party to nook and corner of the state.
Dr Laxman said Mr Shah has stated that the BJP aimed to enroll membership 20 per cent more in every state, where in Telangana it should be 40 per cent more (18 lakh). BJP should expand its base by reaching all sections of the people in the state and achieve their target by January 2020, he added. (UNI)
