Two Biharis held in illegal firearms trading

Hyderabad, Jun 8 : Two Biharis were arrested in illegal firearms trading at Almasguda Kaman under Meerpet police station limits here on Saturday.

On a tip-off, Special Operation Team (SoT) LB Nagar team along with Meerpet police apprehended two inter-state illegal firearms traders -- Arun Yadav and Shankar Yadav, both native of Munger District of Bihar, for illegal possession of arms and recovered two pistols, six live rounds and one empty magazine besides two mobile phones from their possession.

The Meerpet police station has registered a case U/Sec 25,1B (a) of Arms Act 1959 against the two accused while another Bihari, Mithilesh Kumar, a businessman, who is also involved allegedly in the illegal arms trading, is absconding, Rachakonda Police said in a release here.

Arun Yadav, was doing a private job in the city and Shankar Yadav was working as watchman at BM Bar, Almasguda here and are doing illegal firearms trading business.
Investigation is in progress to find out from where they are procuring this firearms and how many persons are involved in this racket and how many weapons they have sold till now, the release added. (UNI)
