TDP will be relegated to history; YSRCP face of future : Reddy

Hyderabad, May 14 : Reiterating that Telugu Desam Party will be consigned to history soon and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is the face of future, Party General Secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy dared Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to publish his survey on May 19 and compare it with the May 23 results instead of going on blowing his own trumpet that has lost its vocal cords.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Mr Reddy said, instead of going on spree of reassuring TDP cadre by the tall claims, we challenge that Chandrababu should announce his predictions based on his supposed surveys as to how many seats his party would get and compare it with the actual results that would come out on May 23.

'Chandrababu is scared of the results and the debacle in the making is known to him much earlier which was manifested in his incoherent statements and knee-jerk reactions. The buying of 23 legislators of the party earlier and picking up quarrels with various institutions to project himself as a National leader--- all stem from the fear of being reduced to non-entity in a short span of time', he said.

Mr Reddy said YSRCP President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had once given his opinion after poll and said that the party will get a landslide and the matter was closed there. With the long experience in public life, Mr Naidu lacks the grace and has been talking every day of the results only to keep his flock together as he senses everyone would desert him and TDP would be history and its 40-year story would come to an end.

'Our Party president during 2014, when everyone expected a victory but could not make it by a slender margin, had gracefully come out in no time with the announcement and said that he honours the people’s verdict and went back to work with the people unlike Chandrababu Naidu who seems to be preparing ground to keep his people from running away from him', the YSRCP leader said.

Normally reviews are done after the results are announced but here is TDP which is making reviews as a continuous process even before the results are announced. This is an exercise only to give his cadre the false impression that people still have faith in the Party founded by late NT Rama Rao.

After so much thunder and lightning on the Cabinet meeting today, the EC has to intervene and give the nod with certain conditions. Odisha, which was the worst hit by Fani Cyclone, did not see any such storm between the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary unlike their Andhra Pradesh counterparts.

The agenda for cabinet included discussion on drought, a subject which was never discussed during the full term of Chandrababu Naidu, Mr Reddy said.

The gauntlet we are throwing is, let TDP announce its projections of its survey on May 19 and we will also place our analysis and the May 23 results will separate chalk from cheese, he said. (UNI)
