Hyderabad, Apr 01: To address three elections rallies in Telangana state in a single day tomorrow, Congress President Rahul Gandhi arrived here on Sunday night.
After staying night halt at Novotel hotel in the city, the Congress Chief will be on a whirlwind visit to Zaheerabad, Huzurnagar and Wanaparthi areas on Monday, where he will address election rallies, party sources said here.
On his arrival at the Shamshabad airport, Gandhi was given warm welcome by AICC general secretary in charge of Telangana R C Khuntia, Telangana Congress CLP Leader Batti Vikramarka, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy, actor-turned politician Vijayashanti and other senior leaders.
After completion of his whistle stop canvassing in the state, Mr Gandhi will leave for Delhi at around 1800 hours on the same day.
In a media statement earlier, Gudur Narayana Reddy informed that Rahul Gandhi would unveil the outline and broader view of Congress party's manifesto for Lok Sabha elections in his meeting at Zaheerabad.
He said AICC President would speak on upon various concerning common man, especially youth, at Zaheerabad meeting which is expected to witness a huge turnout.
"Rahul has already unveiled a few major schemes like 'Nyay' (Nyuntam Aay Yojna) which aims to provide Rs 72,000 annually to poorest of poor families across the country, he said this will benefit more than 50 lakh poor people in Telangana.
He also announced Congress party's plans to boost economy through creation of lakhs of jobs for rural youth.
Gandhi is expected to unveil a roadmap for transformation of agriculture sector by helping the farmers in the right manner," he added.
