YSRCP Chief J Reddy sounds poll bugle

Agency News

Kakinada, Mar 11: YSRCP Chief Jaganmohan Reddy launched the party’s election campaign by beating the drum and blowing the traditional Conch at `samara sankhaaraavam’ at the sprawling Jewel meadows ground on the city outskirts here on Monday.

In his address, he called upon the people to vote him to power ending the misrule of Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP govt in the state and assured them that he will look after their welfare, fulfilling his commitment of taking the `Navarathna policy’ to each and every household and family.

He also promised the party workers of lifting of all the false cases foisted against them by the present government. Since hardly few days left for additions and deletions in the electoral rolls, he advised the party booth level committee workers to visit 35 households earmarked to them and verify the people whether their votes remained intact or deleted .

If deleted, he wanted them to file form-6 for addition and complain about any irregularity to the notice of election commission for action using C-Vigil app.

While launching a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for cheating the people of all sections and propagating falsehood during past four year, Jagan alleged that the state's administrative fabric was destroyed systematically making the police intelligence to act like his watchmen.

Reddy accused Naidu of cheating and misguiding people on Amaravati and Polavaram projects. "In the name of capital city 50,000 acres was taken over but except 1,000 acre the remaining was left fallow. Even the buildings constructed for temporary settlement like secretariat were defective and full of leaks during rainy season." he said.

"The Polavaram project is also going on snail’s pace. Corruption is the order of the day in every sector. Mafia is ruling the roost in the name of anmabhoomi committees. Now a debate should be held at all levels including at each household, village levels on the misrule of TDP and how the Chief Minister has cheated all sections by false promises in his election manifesto" he added.

Referring to the present controversy over the large scale deletions in voter’s lists, Jagan has attributed it to Chandrababu Naidu describing him as an expert in cyber crimes. "Chandrababu says that he did not have belief in EVMs but used the same technology for deletion of YSRCP voters names from the list and engaged the person as his advisor who was caught while tampering the EVMs.", he said.

"The people should aware of his cinematic gimmicks during the next one month period and should give him a befitting lesson in the elections’ he added.

Jagan said that Naidu was responsible for the bifurcation of state and also for mortgaging the state interests for his selfish ends including special category status and railway zone. He also blamed the BJP and Pavan for successfully playing with the future of the state and the people’s interests. He said he would take steps for giving better packages to all sections including farmers, DWCRA members and other women folk, students, unemployed youth soon after coming to power bringing back the erstwhile Rajanna raj.UNI
