Hyderabad, Dec 7: Caretaker Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Friday claimed that the people of Telangana still express confidence on the leadership of TRS President and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to form the next government in the state.
Reacting to the Times Now-CNX exit poll, which was released this evening after conclusion of the Assembly election, which predicted TRS retaining Telangana, Mr Srihari said the party was confident to form the government with a majority of seats between 75-80 due to the welfare schemes implemented by KCR-led government and confidence on the leadership of KCR by the people.
In the 119-assembly constituencies, our leader KCR had addressed a series of public meetings and road shows besides his son and caretaker Minister K T Rama Rao, his nephew and caretaker Minister Harish Rao and MP, K Kavitha, daughter of KCR holding election meetings, he said Mr Rao had already informed that the party would form the government without any support from any party.
AP Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu’s partnership with Mahakutami also benefited us to form the government with Telangana people had not believed him as he was the anti-telangana leader, he said.
In the exit polls for Telangana Assembly Elections 2018, Times now predicted that the ruling TRS expected to win 66 seats, Congress – 37 , BJP-7 and others – 9 out 119-assembly seats. (UNI)
