Hyderabad, Dec 1: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday continued to bash Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Rashtra Samiti supremo and caretaker CM K Chandrasekhar Rao for their failure to keep promises.
Addressing a series of well attended road shows to campaign for the party candidate in Rajendernagar constituency in the city for the upcoming Assembly election, he charged that Mr Rao, popularly known as KCR did not do a single worthwhile work during the last four and half years of latter's tenure.
While Mr Modi's promise of "achhe din" would be experienced by the people only when the BJP was voted out of power in 2019, he said adding the people were facing immense hardships because of the Modi government's decisions like demonetisation, faulty implementation of the Goods and Services Tax besides skyrocketing of prices of essential commodities.
He claimed that Mr Modi also failed keep to promises made to the two Telugu states for their development. He charged that whoever spoke against the Modi regime, IT and Enforcement Directorate were used to silence them.
He reiterated that the TDP had joined hands with its once arch rival Congress for the future of the country and to save democracy.
Stating that he was not trying to boss over in Telangana, he hoped that a good government would be formed after the December seven election in the state.
Taking credit for the development of Cyberabad, he said he had toured the world as the chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh to invite investors Hyderabad adding because of his efforts IT giant Microsoft set up shop in Hyderabad.
Mr Naidu said he would never obstruct development in Telangana and always wished for its well being . (UNI)
