Hyderabad, Nov 29: With just 8-days left for Assembly elections, Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday joined the race in announcing spree of sops to various sections of the people by assuring all round development of the state and welfare schemes for the benefit of all.
Releasing election manifesto at BJP headquarters here, state party President Dr K Laxman said that the party would protect the interest of the farmers, workers and students of the state.
In addition to that, the party also promised to provide free bore wells or wells and pump sets to agriculture lands of the farmers. In the interest of the students, he said the party would provide free laptops to the degree girls students besides free cycles to girls studying from 7 to 10.
The party also decided to sanction 50 per cent subsidy on scooties to girls students who studying degree and above.
Laxman said a regulatory authority will be established to monitor the fee structure in corporate educational institutions.
The manifesto also stated that if the party comes to power, junior colleges will be constructed at every mandal while degree degree college at every Assembly constituency in the state. (UNI)
