Hyderabad, Oct 10: Sounding the poll bugle for the upcoming Assembly elections in Karimnagar, located in the northern part of Telangana, BJP president Amit Shah arrived here on Wednesday.
On his arrival at the Begumpet airport by a special aircraft, Mr Shah was received by prominent state party leaders. He drove to the Jubilee Hills area of the city and garlanded the statue of Maharaj Agrasen on the occasion of Agrasen Jayanthi.
During his stay in the city, Mr Shah will interact with the party's polling booth workers, and will later fly to Karimnagar, once a stronghold of the BJP, to address a public meeting christened "Samarabheri", in order to highlight the achievements of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. Shah had earlier addressed a public meeting at Mahabubnagar in the southern part of the state on September 15. (UNI)
