Assembly Poll: Balakrishna launches election campaign in Telangana

Khammam, Oct 1: Actor-turned-politician and Andhra Pradesh TDP MLA N Balakrishna has launched election campaign at Madhira town in this district for the ensuing Assembly Poll in Telangana, on Monday.

Earlier, Balakrishna was received by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists led by Telangana TDP President L Ramana while conducting a cycle rally at Jonnalagadda, the border village of two telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Later, Balakrishna garlanded the statue of TDP founder N T Rama Rao at Rayapatnam and also inaugurated his statue at Denduluru.

Speaking at Madhira after garlanding the statue of Rama Rao at Abedkar Centre in Madhira, Balakrishna said that former Chief Minister brought identity to Telugu people in the country and strived for the welfare of the people until his last breath.

Rama Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had strived hard for the development of Telagana State, Mr Balakrishna said and added that the development of Telangana is possible with TDP only.

Mr Ramana said that the Mahakutama (Grand Alliance) comprising Congress, TDP, CPI will win majority seats in the ensuing Assembly election and form government in the state. TDP’s winning stretch will start with the Madhira Constituency, he claimed. (UNI)
