Hyderabad, Sep 6: Telangana Chief Minister and TRS President K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday chaired a meeting of the Cabinet, the last of his present tenure, and passed a resolution to recommend to Governor ESL Narasimhan seeking dissolution of the first Legislative Assembly of Telangana.
The term of the Assembly has a strength of 119 and one nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. The cabinet, which met for second time in five-days in this month, resolved to dissolve the house paving way for early election.
The first cabinet meeting was held on September 2 ahead of Pragathi Nivedana Sabha at Kongara Kalan in the outskirts of Hyderabad. The Cabinet has decided to recommend to the Governor to dissolve the House with effect from tomorrow.
The dissolution would take effect from Friday after a formal notification would be issued by the Raj Bhavan. The 4-year-3-months and 4-days TRS government led Mr Rao is likely to be end from Friday. UNI
