Chennai, June 10 : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, DMK President M K Stalin, Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, PMK Founder Dr S Ramadoss, and leaders of various parties, including alliance partners of the DMK, today condoled the death of the three-time DMK MLA J Anbazhagan, who succumbed to COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Palaniswami, in his condolence message in a twitter post, expressed grief over his death and described him as one of the frontline functionaries of the DMK. He also offered his deepest condolences to his family members. Mr Stalin, in a statement announced a three-day mourning as a mark of respect to the departed soul. He also said the DMK flags would fly at half mast and all the party programmes stands cancelled. Mr Stalin recalled the services rendered by Anbazahgan to the DMK and said his heart refused to accept that he was no more.
PMK Youth Wing leader and former Union Miniser Anbumani Ramadoss, leaders of MDMK, CPI, CPI(M), Congress, VCK also expressed their heartfelt condolences over the death of Anbazhagan. (UNI)
