Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisami announced on Saturday that the public examinations for tenth standard students would be postponed as part of measures to contain the rapidly spreading Coronavirus.
He said the deferred examinations would be held from April 15. Examinations for Plus and Two would be held as scheduled, he said. They started on March 2 and examination for only one paper remains to be conducted on March 24.
As neighbouring Puducherry also follows Tamil Nadu syllabus, the tenth examinations have been put off there also. This was announced by Education Minister Kamalakannan in Puducherry on Saturday
