Yesteryear Tamil film actor T S Raghavender passed away in Chennai on Wednesday night due to age related illnesses. He was 75 and is survived by his wife Sulochana, and daughters Kalpana and Shekiana Shawan both of whom are pop singers.
Raghavender made his debut in Vijayakanth starrer Vaithegi Kathirunthal in 1984 but made a mark in K B Balachandar’s award-winning Sindhu Bhairavi.
Some of his notable films are Vikram, Vaazhga Jananayagam, Harichandra and Nee Varuvai Ena. He was last seen in the film Pon Megalai released in 2005. He had also composed music for Yaga Salai, Uyir and Padikkatha Paadam.
