Chennai, Dec 31: A team of officers of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have seized 67,900 Tramadol tablets, which were destined to Mumbai, at M/s Sharma Transport in Chennai City.
NCB Zonal Director A Bruno in a release here today said the officers seized two parcels containing the tablets, a psychotropic substance covered under the NDPS Act. He said transporting Tramadol without proper document was punishable under NDPS Act with a rigorous imprisonment for a tem not less than 10 years and extended up to 20 years with fine.
Further investigation was in progress to trace the consignor and the consignee. Further investigation has been initiated to find out their drug trafficking network, Mr Bruno said. (UNI)
