Chennai, Oct 25 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated Tamilnadu Chief Minister
Edappadi K Palaniswami for making excellent arrangements and the hospitality extended for the second India-China summit held on October 11 and 12 at Mamallapuram, about 55 km from here.
Modi has written a letter in this regard to Mr Palaniswami lauding the arrangements made for the summit, an official release here said.
His letter appreciated Palaniswami, the people of the state, cultural organisations
and others for extending their support for the summit. Modi said the welcome given to Chinese President Xi Jinping and the hospitality extended to him reflected India’s culture and tradition.
He said the arrangements were memorable for him and also for the Chinese President.
Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Weidong also thanked the Chief Minister for the superb arrangements made, the cultural programmes organised all along the route from the city leading to Mamallapuram and for the excellent hospitality and other arrangements made for the summit.(UNI)
