The Tamil Nadu Government on Saturday announced the appointment of Finance Secretary K Shanmugham as the new Chief Secretary and J K Tripathy as the Director-General of Police ( Law and Order).
Shanmugham is taking the place of Girija Vaidyanathan upon her retirement on Saturday while Tripathy is taking over from T K Rajendran whose extended two-year term has come to an end.
