Chennai, Mayh 14: Police security have been provided at the residence of actor-turned-politician and Makkal Needhi Maiyam (MNM) Founder Kamal Haasan after his Hindu terror remarks drew condemnation from BJP and other Hindu outfits.
The residence and MNM office at Alwarpet are in the city was provided with police security as a precautionary measure.
According to police, a ten-member team headed by an Inspector has been posted outside his residence from Tuesday morning.Police pickets were deployed as a precautionary measure as some Hindu groups were likely to stage protests to condemn his remarks.
Meanwhile, for the second day, Kamal cancelled his campaign for the bypoll.
