Agency News

Chennai, Apr 21: Terming the multiple blasts at Churches and
hotels in Sri Lankan capital of Colombo and Batticalao as 'heart
breaking', DMK President M K Stalin demanded stern action against
the perpetrators.

In a statement here he strongly condemned the blasts in which more
than 100 people were killed and over 300 injured. Stating that the blasts on Easter day has instilled fears in the minds of Eelam Tamils and permanent fear among religious minorities, he said the Sri Lankan government should take firm steps, identify the communal
and racists forces, which were behind the blasts, and take stern action
against them. Referring to increase in such incidents targetting places of worship across the world starting from New Zealand, Mr Stalin said they posed a big challenge to the humanity.

'All the humanitarian forces should join hands to defeat it', he said and
called for speedy justice to Tamils and others, including foreigners, affected by the blasts.UNI
