Puducherry,Mar 10: After the formation of an AIADMK-BJP-N R Congress alliance in the union territory to fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections,N R Congress founder president N Rangasmay on Sunday visited the AIADMK Party here and held discussions with the AIADMK functionaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Rangasamy said that the AIADMK-N R Congress alliance is not an ‘opportunistic’ alliance, but a natural one. After the formation of N R Congress,it had forged an alliance with AIADMK only. Due to some communication gap, he could not hold talks with Jayalalitha and both the parties contested alone. This helped the ‘anti-people’ force to come to power.
”Had we contested in alliance,we would have won with a vast difference”,he said. Rangasamy said now people desire a change in the government and for this the alliance party candidate should win comfortably. The result of this election will lead to a change in the government in the UT,he added.
AIADMK legislature party leader A Anbazhagan said that the congress is gripped with fear when an AIADMK-N R Congress-BJP alliance was formed here and that’s why it is terming the alliance as an “opportunistic” one. Those who came forward to contest in the congress ticket has backtracked after the formation of a strong alliance and the congress is searching for candidates now.
Now the Congress is making efforts to make the son of former union minister Jagathratchagan as the party candidate here,he said adding that the victory of the N R Congress candidate is 100 per cent confirmed. Anbazhagan also criticized Narayanasmay for stating as the “Ghost” of Jayalalitha instead of her ‘soul’.UNI
