Chennai, Feb 27 : The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday handed over appointment orders to the widows of two Martyrs from Tuticorin and Ariyalur districts, who were killed during the Pulwama terror attack.
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami handed over the appointment orders on compassionate grounds to Ms Krishnaveni and Kanthimathi, widows of CRPF jawans G Subramanian and C Sivachandran respectively, who were among the 40 soldiers killed in the terror attack.
In line with the announcement made by the Chief Minister that government jobs would be given to one of their family members, Mr Palaniswami handed over the appointment orders to Ms Krishnaveni and Ms Kanthimathi at the State Secretariat here.
An official release said following the Chief Minister's announcement an assistance of Rs 20 lakh each were given to their family members. (UNI)
