Kodanad case: Two held for jumping bail

The Nlgiris police on Sunday evening arrested two of the four accused in the Kodanad estate burglary and murder case for jumping bail.

The police arrested Dhipu and Bijin in Thrissur and brought them back to Nilgiris late on Sunday evening and produced them before local magistrate Rajavel who remanded both to judicial custody for 14 days. They were later taken to Coimbatore central jail.

The two were among the four against Nilgiris sessions judge on Friday issued arrest warrant for failure before him after the cancellation of their bail. The other two are the main accused Sayan and Valayar Manoj whose bail has also been cancelled and are still at large.

Sayan and Manoj are facing another case filed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisami for alleging that he masterminded the break-in into the estate of late Chief Minister J Jayalalitha to get back some incriminating documents.
