Extremist Fakrudin complaints of chest pain, admitted to hospital, discharged

Chennai, Feb 1: The city police on Friday admitted extremist S Fakrudin also known as ‘Police Fakrudin’ at Stanley Government Hospital after he complained of chest pain.

He was lodged in Puzhal Central prison when he complained of chest pain in the wee hours of Friday. He was rushed to the Stanley hospital where he was admitted in the Intensive care unit (ICU). Police said the convict ward of the hospital came under high police protection.

After a check Fakrudin, who was arrested in 2013 in connection with several cases, was brought back to the Puzhal prison. It may be noted that Fakrudin, along with his associates, Panna Ismail and Bilal Malik were suspects in plotting attacks on BJP leader L K Advani during October 2011 and they were also involved in the murder of Hindu Munnani leader Vellaiyan and BJP member V Ramesh in Salem.(UNI)
