Chennai, Jan 16: AIADMK Coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Joint Coordinator and Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday urged the cadres to take a vow to strive hard for the party's victory in the ensuing Lok Sabha poll.
In an epistle to AIADMK cadres to mark Party Founder MGR's 102nd birth anniversary here, they said 'even if MGR and late leader J Jayalalithaa were no longer with us, the AIADMK government is here to stay and it should be proved in the Lok Sabha election'.
They said no one can defeat the party despite the passing away of MGR and Jayalalithaa. Appealing to the cadres to work for the welfare of the people by breaking all hurdles posed by the enemies and betrayers, who were stunned by the AIADMK's unity, they said these forces in a bid to create a bad name to the AIADMK were spreading flasehood and were levelling baseless charges.
'We have to prove to the world that even after the deaths of two great leaders--MGR and Jayalalithaa--nobody can defeat us and prove that the AIADMK government is here to stay', they added.
Urging the party cadres to prove that AIADMK was the only movement that was working for the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu, they said 'the battlefield in the form of Lok Sabha election is now in front of us'.
'We should win the poll on the victory path shown by MGR and Jayalalithaa', they said and appealed to the cadres to strive hard for the party's victory. (UNI)
