Thirumavalavan seeks security for VCK’s Ravi Kumar

Puducherry, Aug 29: Stating that there is a threat to the life of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) general secretary Ravi Kumar, VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan urged Chief minister V Narayansamy on Wednesday to provide adequate security to the general secretary.

In a letter to Narayanasamy, the VCK leader said the Tamil Nadu police informed him of the threat to the life of Ravi Kumar based on IB reports. The party which is striving for the protection of the weaker section is firm on secular principles, he said.

A threat to the life of the party general secretary is a move to destabilise the party, he said adding that the accused behind the murder of Karnataka journalist Gowri Lankesh is targetting Ravi Kumar. He also pointed out that those involved in the murder of Gowri Lankesh is behind the murder of Govind Bansare and Tabolkar among others. (UNI)
