Agra, May 20: In a setback to Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia( PSPL), led by Shivpal Singh Yadav, its Agra(north) Assembly bypoll candidate Dilip Baghel resigned from the party on Monday.
The bypolls was held on Sunday along with the seventh phase polls in the state. In his letter, Mr Baghel has alleged that the party leaders did not cooperate with him in the bypolls. He said that the area where the party's youth wing president has the residence no one was deployed at the booths while during campaigning the district officials did not participate.
However, PSPL leaders denied the charges of the candidate. "I am resigning from all the party posts with immediate," the letter sent to Shivpal Yadav. The bypolls in Agra(North) assembly seat was necessitated following death of a BJP member. (UNI)
