Actor and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi has visited on Saturday the residence of Abhimanyu, a student from Kochi-based Maharajas college who brutally murdered a few days back by Campus Front of India workers at Vattavada near Thodupuzha in Idukki, Kerala.
But both the actor and fans have taken many selfies in which Suresh Gopi was seen in a jovial mood. A row was kick-started soon these selfies began circulating on social media and went viral. While many political leaders, social workers, and ministers left silently after visiting the Abhimanyu's residence, Suresh Gopi MP roamed the entire Vattavada, a backward village of migrant farmers.
The star actor either clicked himself or posed lavishly for selfies. Soon these selfies in which a broadly smiled Suresh Gopi in a blue shirt jovially posing with villagers began circulated on the social media. At first, It was Abhimanyu's close friends pointed accusing fingers at Suresh Gopi MP saying the star has visited the place in a picnic mood instead of showing the proper sense of visiting a martyr's house.
Following which, Sivankutty, former MLA, and CPIM leader came heavily against Suresh Gopi MP for taking selfies with a smiling face. "While entire Kerala is crying over Abhimanyu's death, how can you smile like this?," asks Sivankutty.
