Security forces launched a Cordoned and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where security forces burst teargas shells to disperse the stone pelting demonstrations on Thursday.
Official sources said following specific information about the presence of militants, security forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint search operation at Malangpora in Pulwama on Thursday. The forces sealed all exit points and launched search operation in the area, they said.
However, people immediately hit the streets and started pelting stones on security forces to disrupt the operation. The security forces burst teargas shells to disperse the demonstrators, who were pelting stone. The operation and clashes were still going on when the reports last came in. (UNI)
