Gearing up for 2018 Karnataka Assembly polls, the Congress on Sunday gave its approval to its 43-member state Election Committee.
Besides the 43-members, the party has also inducted its General Secretaries, state in-charge and all Parliamentarians from the state.
Janardan Dwivedi, General Secretary, Congress said, “Congress President Rahul Gandhi has approved the Karnataka Pradesh Election Committee list today for the upcoming assembly polls.”
Elections to the state’s 224 Assembly seats are expected in a few months.
The party chiefs of both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party – Rahul Gandhi and Amit Shah are campaigning aggressively in the state in a bid to retain and clinch the power.
