The Banjara Hills Police in Hyderabad booked Tollywood film director Ajay Koundinya on Wednesday, after he made vulgar remarks against actor-politician and YSRCP MLA Roja, during a recent event.
His comment during a movie audio launch that,’If Roja accepts, I'm willing to make part 2 of 'God, Sex, and Truth', with her’, has driven him to the controversy.
“The complainant alleged that the accused, Ajay Koundinya, made highly objectionable remarks against women at audio release function of Telugu movie, 'NH 47 Bhoot Bangla', organised at Film Chambers in Banjara Hills on January 26,” Banjara Hills inspector K Srinivas told.
After watching the video of his speech on YouTube, the police registered a case under Sections 354 (Sexual harassment) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
Earlier this week, in a video that did the rounds, the director was seen attacking Roja with vulgar language.
