Former Kerala Transport Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader AK Saseendran, who was acquitted from the controversial sleaze call row by a lower court, was sworn-in as a Minister here on Thursday.
State Governor Justice (Retd) P Sathasivam administered the oath of office and secrecy to Saseendran in a brief ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his Cabinet colleagues and top officials in the Government have attended the function.
However, the Congress-led UDF Opposition boycotted the swearing in ceremony alleging that AK Saseendran has no moral right to become the Minister. He has returned to the Cabinet after 10 months
