The national capital woke up to a foggy morning on the Republic Day eve, while 27 trains got delayed and 17 others were cancelled due to poor visibility.
Along with dense for and mist, the minimum temperature here settled at 8.8 degrees C, a notch above normal for the season while humidity at 0830 hrs was 100 per cent, the weatherman said on Thursday.
Air quality in the city was 'poor' with the index value of 265 at 1000 hrs, according to the Central Pollution Control Board. The Sky will be clear during the day while mist will be present with maximum temperature to hover around 21 degrees C, as per the Met official. Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 18.9 degrees C, two points lower than normal for the season.
