Re induction of NCP leader A.K.Saseendran into the state cabinet may be delayed. However the NCP wants the re-induction to be hastened.
NCP state president T.P.Peethamabaran told the media on Tuesday that the party had already requested the LDF and the Chief Minister to re-induct Saseendran at the earliest as NCP had no nominee in the cabinet. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that there was no hitch whatsoever in the re-induction. But he had also stated that the decision was to be taken not by him alone. The state leadership of CPIM which heads the ruling coalition had also cleared Saseendran's re-induction and left it to be finally decided by LDF. But LDF is yet to meet to take a decision in the matter. NCP state leadership has urged LDF leadership to summon a meeting to discuss and decide the re-induction.
On Tuesday, the Kerala High Court deferred hearing the petition filed by the lady reporter of news channel praying that the case involving NCP leader Saseendran and her be disposed off as they had entered into a compromise outside the court.
