National Women's Commission chairperson Rekha Sharma said on Wednesday that besides forcible religious conversion, girl trafficking to foreign countries by terrorist outfits have been happening in Kerala.
Talking to media persons after meeting the Director General of Police Loknath Behra, Rekha Sharma stated that this was a matter of serious concern for the whole nation. The National Women's Commission would take up the matter in all seriousness, she added.
Rekha Sharma who had been touring Kerala for the past two days, meeting women allegedly subjected to forcible religious conversion, submitted eleven complaints by parents of such victims to the DGP. She informed that the DGP had promised to look into the complaints and get back to the Commission.
