Uttar Pradesh government today contributed Rs 5 crore to Chief Minister`s Relief Fund for the help of flood affected people of Bihar.
Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Minister Dharmpal Singh called on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at CM Secretariat and handed over a cheque of Rs 5 crore to him on behalf of UP government for carrying out relief and rescue operation in the flood hit areas more effectively.
Kumar thanking UP government for its contribution to CM Relief Fund also applauded its social initiative. He said everybody should express sentiments at the time of disaster and should play active role in the service of victims. Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and state Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav were also present on the occasion.
