The Opposition parties created pandemonium in the Bihar Assembly demanding immediate resignation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi, alleging that they patronized Srijan scam and no fair inquiry was possible so long they continued in office, which forced the speaker to adjourn the House before lunch break.
As the house assembled, senior RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui raised the issue of Srijan scam and urged the speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary to accept the notice for adjournment given by his party, saying the issue was of utmost importance and a debate should be held in the house before taking up any other business. Chaudhary asked Siddqui to cooperate in transacting the scheduled business of the house and first question of the question hour was related to Srijan scam itself. Government would reply the queries on the issue during question hour and a call attention notice would also come up in the house today itself, he added. Siddiqui refused to relent saying that a lot of questions were being asked in Bihar and also across the country on Srijan scam and it should be debated in the House right now. RJD members raising anti-government slogans, trooped into well demanding immediate resignation of Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Modi.
