Panaji, Jun 8 : Indian Super League (ISL) franchise FC Goa on Monday announced that Spaniard Edu Bedia has signed a new deal with the club, keeping him in the club till 2022. With this, Edu became the longest serving foreign player for FC Goa with the 2020/21 season set to be his fourth in FC Goa colours.
'I’m thrilled to continue my journey with FC Goa. It has been a wonderful experience for me so far, and I’m excited to be a part of the future of this team. I have had some great moments and want to achieve even more success during my time here,' said the midfielder. The Spaniard was signed at the start of the 2017/18 Indian Super League (ISL) season from Real Zaragoza, and has been an integral part of the team ever since. Over three seasons, Edu has featured 51 times for FC Goa in the ISL, bagging nine goals and nine assists so far. 'We are very pleased that Edu will be continuing with us.
Edu has been a very important player for the team for a few years now and we are confident that he will remain a key component of the squad in the future as well,' FC Goa Director of Football, Ravi Puskur said. (UNI)
