Poonam Yadav signs with Fast&Up

Mumbai, May 11 : Indian cricketing sensation Poonam Yadav became the latest player from the women’s cricket team to sign-up with Fast&Up, India’s sports and active nutrition brand. Poonam is currently ranked among the top 10 bowlers in both the ODI and T20 format by the International Cricket Council.

The 28-year-old made her debut back in 2013 against Bangladesh in a T20I, since then the leg spinner has gone on to represent the country in 46 ODIs and 67 T20Is scalping 72 and 95 wickets in the respective formats. She is currently India’s leading wicket taker in the shorter format of the game. She was also part of the team which represented India in both the finals of the ICC World Cup 2017 and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. The Agra-born cricketer said she was elated with her new association and was looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the brand. "I’m really happy to be associated with Fast&Up who have been making rapid strides in the field of nutrition among sportspersons and have also supported Indian Women's Cricket Team,” said Poonam.

Fast&Up CEO, Vijayaraghavan Venugopal said it was a pleasure to have another Indian women’s cricketer on board the Fast&up team. “We have supported women’s cricketers like Shikha Pandey, Shafali Verma, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Priya Punia, Punam Raut, Ekta Bisht and Harleen Deol. Poonam is currently one of the best leg-spinners in the world and I hope she has a long career with the Indian women’s cricket team,” said Vijayaraghavan.

Fast&Up is in partnership with over 100 Indian athletes which include Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal, Indian table tennis player Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and also Indian women’s cricketers Shikha Pandey, Shafali Verma, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Priya Punia, Punam Raut, Ekta Bisht and Harleen Deol. (UNI)
