Mumbai, Apr 14: BCCI vice-president MahimVerma on Tuesday submitted his resignation to CEO Rahul Johri after being elected as the secretary for his state cricket association in Uttarakhand. Verma had fought the state body elections last month and came to power.
He had to resign because the BCCI constitution does not allow a person to hold two posts simultaneously at the national and state level, Cricbuzz reported. "I needed to take take care of my state association which wasn't being run smoothly. I have sent my resignation to CEO Rahul Johri. I am sure it will be accepted as senior office-bearers are in the loop." The outgoing vice-president felt the state association of Uttarakhand was in utter mess and he had take up a position there to get it back on track.
