U-19 WC Quarterfinal: India set a winning target of 234 before Australia

A struggling Indian team could reach at 233 in the stipulated fifty overs in the U-19 World Cup Quarterfinals against Australia.

India could go past 200 riding on the fifties made by Yashaswi Jaiswal and Atharva Ankolekar. Ravi Bishnoi also chipped in with 30 runs.

Earlier, Australia U19 have won the toss and opted to field first against India in the quarterfinals. India lost its first wicket as Divyansh Saxena gave in a catch off Corey Kelly’s ball for 14. Soon Tilak Varma was caught by Mackenzie Harvey off Murphy. Soon captain Priyam Garg also returned. Jaiswal’s fifty helped India to go past 100 runs. Jaiswal along with Dhruv Jurel could build up a fourth wicket partnership. When Sanga bowled out Jaiswal, India was at 102 for 4 after 30 overs.

Siddhesh Veer (25), Divyaansh Saxena(14), Dhruv Jurel (15) are the other batsmen who contributed little.

For Australia, Corey Kelly and Todd Murphy took 2 wickets each. 60-run partnership between for 7th wicket between Ankolekar and Bishnoi helps India to drive the score past 200.
