Naomi Osaka’s Twitter post in which she called Serena Williams as ‘mom’ has broken social media.
There was an exhibition match between Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams as part of a fund-raising for bushfire relief at Rod Laver Arena in Australia. A snap shot captured during the match in which Naomi Osaka is seen next to Serena Williams has become controversial after Osaka’s caption to the photograph. "Me and my mom lol," that was the caption given by Naomi Osaka for the photograph.
The exhibition match was a big success in which Osaka beat Serena 6-2, 6-4. The match also turned controversial as it saw the American enraged by umpire Carlos Ramos's warning for receiving coaching from her box.
Australian star Nick Kyrgios had proposed the idea of fundraising match, via a tweet, which said, "C'mon @TennisAustralia surely we can do a pre @AustralianOpen exho to raise funds for those affected by the fires?".
Swiss legend Roger Federer, Kyrgios and Rafael Nadal were all present for the exhibition match which was held at a jam-packed arena.
But still, the tennis lovers across the world are clueless over the reason which compels Naomi Osaka calling Serena Williams as ‘Mom’.
